How does Twine work?
Twine is a community and freelance marketplace for creative, digital and marketing freelancers.
- Showcase your work to clients with your Twine portfolio.
- Find freelance jobs, chat with your client, and safely receive payment through Twine.
- Work flexibly with clients and bill accordingly.
Can I use Twine?
Twine is an open-platform: there is no application process to join.
Freelancers of all skill levels are welcome in our community.
If you're in a Creative, Marketing, or Digital industry, there's a place for you in our community.
How much does Twine cost?
You can use Twine under our free plan where you can create a portfolio and apply to some jobs.
Additionally you can subscribe to Twine Pro to get additional features from $9.49 per month (billed yearly) or $18.99 monthly.
If your client chooses to make payment for your work through the Twine vault (*advised ) *the following fees would apply:
- Client - A small commission fee is added to the payment they make to you
- Freelancer - A small transaction fee may apply when being paid out for a job, this will depend on your payment method.
What payment methods are available?
We offer US, UK & EU Bank Transfer, International Wire Transfer, PayPal and Payoneer
Hires no longer have to be made through the Twine platform but we encourage this to ensure your payments are kept secure.
How do I contact a client about a job?
Find out how here
Activate your account, complete your bio, and add relevant examples of your work to your portfolio to apply.
Then visit the job you wish to apply for and fill in the application box with all the relevant information
Applications are vetted by the Twine team see here for tips on how can I ensure your application approved
Write a great message and populate your portfolio with relevant examples, and we will share your application with the client.
What are public questions?
Anonymously ask clients questions about the job to get more information.
These questions, once answered, are displayed publicly.
What is Twine Pro?
Twine Pro gives subscribers additional benefits such as:
- More pitches per month.
- Ability to apply for more jobs.
- Contact clients directly.
Twine Pro members also don't pay transaction fees when receiving payouts.

Why can't I pitch on a job?
A free account will automatically be topped up with 1 application per day.
To increase to 50 pitches per month, subscribe to Twine Pro.
Once the free application limit has been reached on a job only Twine Pro members will then be able to pitch.
Does Twine host non-specialist jobs?
Yes! Small video content creation tasks, survey completion, and focus group involvement are examples of small project tasks hosted by Twine that can be utilised to supplement your earnings while working freelance.

We rely on feedback from you, the people who use Twine day-to-day, to provide feedback about where we can improve.
How do I close my Twine freelancer account?
Simply visit your settings, and under Account, click 'Delete your account and account data'.
Your account will be removed instantly.
