How to: Edit my portfolio

An up to date portfolio is crucial to provide as much information as possible to clients and help you get hired more often.

The blue banner at the top of your page detail which criteria are needed to achieve Medium and High rankings. Once a high ranking is achieved, the banner will disappear!

This guide below will show you step by step how to update every section of your portfolio.

How to: Add examples to your portfolio

Accepted Answer

Making your portfolio look visually stunning is really important to impress and client and win work from them. This is particularly important for visual freelancers, such as designers, videographers, illustrators and animators, but it's also important for other types of freelancers such as musicians, marketers and developers.

Your profile will not reach high ranking unless there are enough examples:

Design or Illustration: 6 examples
Music or Photography: 3 examples
Video or Animation: 1 example

To add example work to your portfolio, you need to upload the files here: www.twine.fm/upload

You can upload up to 10 files at a time, but we recommend uploading one at a time initially. For each file uploaded you have to add:

Title. This should be the title of the project or work. If it's video work, perhaps the title of the film, or if it's a website design, perhaps the name of the brand.
Cover image. This is an additional image from the upload. This can be a cropped screenshot for graphical or video work. For projects like marketing or copywriting that is not visual, you can use stock imagery from our partners at iStock or Pexels.
Description. This should be a few sentences explaining the project. You can use hashtags to help the discoverability of the content. For example #logo #vi

We offer a range of pay-out methods to ensure members of our community across the globe can get paid for delivering projects through Twine.

US Bank Transfer (ACH)
UK Bank Transfer (Faster Payments)
EU Bank Transfer (SEPA)
International Wire Transfer (SWIFT, wire)
Payoneer
PayPal
OutVoice

To use any of these payout methods you need to update it in your Settings under Payments & Subscriptions.

Transaction Fees

To enable different payout options, we've had to add payment transaction fees to some of the options:

For $ (USD) jobs:

US bank - $2.00 fee
UK bank - $1.25 fee
EU bank - $2.25 fee
PayPal - 6% fee
Payoneer - $4.60 fee
International Wire Transfer - $10.00 and 3% fee
OutVoice - 3% fee (Recommended for micro-projects)

For £ (GBP) jobs:

US bank - £1.75 fee
UK bank - no fee
EU bank - £1.75 fee
PayPal - 6% fee
Payoneer - £4.00 fee
International Wire Transfer - £5.00 and 1% fee
OutVoice - 3% fee (Recommended for micro-projects)

Note - PayPal and Payoneer may have their own fees in addition to Twine transaction fees.

Pro members have access to all of the same payout options and pay no fees for any of these options.

Twine Pro for all jobs:

UK bank - no f

How To: Report bad behaviour on Twine

At Twine, we do our utmost to prevent unkind messages, harassment or spam on the platform. However, we understand that sometimes this isn't always something within our control.

We do not censor messages shared between users, and we therefore rely on our community to flag bad behaviour for us to review.

If you find yourself subject to messages that make you feel uncomfortable, or feel are inappropriate, please contact us. Equally, if you come across a post that you suspect to be a spam, let us know.
