What is the minimum quality for audio, video and images?
We currently have minimum requirements during the upload process to ensure all projects seen by users are of a high quality.
Video
We allow you to add projects of any quality on Twine, but we do restrict what projects will be streamable (playable in the browser or app without needing to download the file). Video projects without a stream will only be downloadable.
Although there are no minimum resolutions or bitrates, we recommend higher than the following: resolution of 480 x 224 pixels and a bit rate of 150 kbps.
Audio
We allow you to add projects of any quality audio on Twine, but we do restrict what projects will be streamable (playable in the browser or app without needing to download the file). Audio projects without a stream will only be downloadable.
Although there is no minimum bitrate, we recommend higher than 96 kbps.
Images
We do not have any restrictions on photo or image projects (where the file you upload is an image). We would recommend you use resolutions over 1024 x 768 pixels.
Project Cover Image
For audio, the minimum cover image resolution is 202 x 202 pixels. We recommend 405 x 405 pixels.
For every other project the minimum cover image resolution is 360 x 202 pixels. We recommend 720 x 405 pixels.
User Avatar
The minimum user avatar resolution is 190 x 190 pixels. We recommend 380 x 380 pixels.
User Cover Image
The minimum user cover image resolution is 585 x 160 pixels. We recommend 1170 x 320 pixels.
