Making a payment

You have 2 options for making a payment through Twine:

Option

How it works

Best for

Vault Payment

Funds are held securely by Twine and released when you're ready, either at a milestone or project completion. Auto-released after 90 days if not released manually.

Projects with clear milestones, or where you want added confidence before releasing funds.

Direct Payment

Payment is sent to the freelancer immediately, without being held in the vault. Typically takes up to 14 days to process.

Smaller tasks, ongoing work, or where you've already established trust with the freelancer.

How to make a Vault payment

Make an upfront Vault payment to secure your freelancer, and ensure you get the final deliverable you've asked for by choosing when to release payment. Vault payments are automatically released after 90 days.

To do this simply visit the job post management page and go to the "Hired" tab, from there select your freelancer and click on the "Payment" tab and press "Make New Payment"

rom there you will be directed to make a deposit to the Twine Vault using a debit or credit card.

Reminder: These funds will **not **go to the freelancer immediately, they will be held securely by Twine and released when you are ready using this same page (or once 90 days have passed)

You can make repeat payments to the Twine Vault for the same project, so don't worry about depositing all the budget at the same time.

Finally, you can now hire multiple freelancers on the same job. Payments for each freelancer work in the same format as with a single freelancer. You’ll also have the option to end a hire with a single individual, whilst still continuing to work with other freelancers.
