Step 1: Understanding your requirement

The first step to finding a freelancer (and ultimately having your job delivered) is developing an understanding of what it is that you need, and why you need it.

What do you want to achieve?

What kind of specialism do you need?

Is this a one-off job, or part of a larger project?

Do you have approval to hire for this job, and a budget in mind?

Do you have reference images / videos / links demonstrating styles you like?

Hiring a freelancer can be daunting, especially if you don’t have much experience in this area, or if you’re using a new platform.
