# Twine Pro: How to apply a discount code

If you have a discount code for a Twine Pro subscription, follow the steps below to apply it during checkout.

||| Please note that discount codes for monthly subscriptions __do not__ work for an annual Twine Pro subscription.

### Steps to apply a monthly promo code

1. **Select the "Monthly plan"**
* Visit our [pricing page](https://www.twine.net/pricing/creative) .
* Choose the **"Monthly plan"** option. Ensure you're not selecting the "Annual plan", as a monthly discount code won't be valid for it.
* Click on the **"Upgrade to Pro"** button to begin the checkout process.

2. **Enter your discount code on the checkout page**
* You'll be redirected to the checkout page of our payment provider, Stripe.
* Look for the option that says **"Add promotion code"** or a similar phrase. This will be on the left-hand side on mobile.
* Click on it, and a field will appear where you can enter your code.
* Input your discount code carefully to avoid any errors.

4. **Complete your purchase**
* Verify that the discount has been applied to your total.
* Fill in your payment details.
* Review your order and click **"Pay"** to finalise your subscription.

### Important Notes

* **Monthly vs. Annual Plans** : Remember, discount codes for monthly plans cannot be used for annual subscriptions.
* **Troubleshooting** : If the discount isn't applying, double-check that you've selected the Monthly Plan and entered the code correctly.
